Starting at historic Jackson Square, the race wound its way from the French Quarter to the finish at City Park outside of Tad Gormley stadium.
Mark Kiptoo of Kenya beat from Ethiopa and last year's second place finisher from Kenya.
The gentleman in the picture to the right that appears to be kissing the CCC sign two steps from the finish line stumbled a bit at the end. His momentum carried him forward and he fell (page 3)
New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton said he wanted to beat the Easter Bunny in the race like he did last year. This link shows the Easter Bunny hopping to the finish line with gobs of time in hand to beat Mr. Payton who came in 20 plus minutes later.
Coach Sean Payton did beat the other Easter Bunny in the race. The coach beat that easter bunny by 6 mintues -- 63 minutes vs 69.
