January 12, 2010

Latest word is USC Athletic Director Mike Garrett is not resting on his laurels with his recent hire of Lane Kiffin. He is trying to lure offensive guru Norm Chow from crosstown rival UCLA.

Norm Chow has turned down USC and will stay UCLA for the 2010 football season.

Norm Chow is the offensive coordinator at UCLA and would have served in the same capacity at the University of Southern California, whose campus lies a few miles away from the Bruins.

Lane Kiffin and Norm Chow were on the USC staff together from 2001-04.

Lane Kiffin was lured from the University of Tennessee after 14 months in charge of the program.
