Tennessee names Dooley as Kiffin's successor

The University of Tennessee hired Derek Dooley as their head coach to replace recently departed Lane Kiffin.
Derek Dooley is the son of legendary coach Vince Dooley. He previously served as head coach of Louisiana Tech the past three seasons.. Derek Dooley has SEC experience serving as LSU's recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach in the early 2000s and worked under Nick Saban during that tenure and followed Saban to Miami.
Derek Dooley has a law degree from the University of Georgia and worked as an attorney for a couple of years pprior to embarking on his coaching career. Dooley addressed the Vol faithful assuring them he would run the program with integrity off and on the field.
Frank Scelfo, Dooley's offensive coordinator at Louisiana Tech, has been named the Bulldogs interim head coach
Frank Scelfo served in the same capaicty for the Tulane Green Wave under his brother..
