The LSU Golden Girls are an auxiliary unit of the LSU Band that is the most established danceline at LSU. Created in 1959 as the Ballet Corps, this troupe was added to the Band to enhance the entertainment value.of the LSU Band

The current name of Golden Girls did not become official until six years later.

The LSU Golden Girls are also sometimes referred to as the Dancing Darlings. These ladies have extensive backgrounds in dance and must qualify by audition in the spring

They perform at all home football games and travel to away games with the full Tiger Band.
