the smaller portion of Divorce Beach. Although it was a few hours after making the journey over from Grand Solmar, the local that was sleeping off the beers on the Beach had switched to an inconspicuous spot along the rocks with protection from the sun -- pictured below.
The climb over either way is pretty much straightforward so no need to drop breadcrumbs to find your way back.
Pictured below is the last climb up when you make it to the small section at Divorce Beach. Hike on up and then down that takes you back to your home base of Grand Solmar.
Up and over the rocks and you are almost back at the private Playa Grande at Grand Solmar.
A friend asked me why go this way instead of taking the glass bottom boats. The adventure is one reason and you also get to see a part of Cabo that very few get to see. The water taxis can't drop you off at Divorce Beach because of the currents. It is also a fun way to spend a few hours in Cabo. I posted a couple of videos of sights few get to see from Divorce Beach.
What you will need for your hike over the rocks: 1.Sobriety 2. A knapsack 3. Shoes
1. The first time I went over the rocks I had a few tequila shots in me. I imagined someone more impaired than me could get careless and hurt themselves. Seeing the cross on the climb was not an encouraging sign on that journey.
2. A knapsack will help you carry food, drinks, sunscreen, clothes, and a towel. There aren't any vending machines on the beach. I did come across a couple of enterprising teens that were selling bottled water and soda on the beach, but you can't count on them being there for you. You will want to bring water, something to snack on, and anything else you would need for a stay on the beach. I had a couple of ziplock bags to protect my camera that was not waterproof.
3. Shoes will help you with your footing over the rocks. With that said, I did come across three surfer types carrying their body boards over in their barefeet. The problem is the sand can get very hot. If you go over to one of the playitas next to Lover's Beach you will have to take your shoes off unless it is okay to get them wet.

A few tips to enjoy the water experience at the Atlantis:
I strongly recommend wearing aqua socks, sandals, or some type of water sandals. I tore up my feet on some sand in the pool and water rides. This oversight and subsequent sore feet made it difficult for me to get around during my stay.
I would get sunglass lanyards to hold the glasses. The velocity of some of these rides could cause you to lose your sunglasses. This happened to me and the person right behind me on a ride and fortunately one of the employees found mine about 20 minutes later. They made me take my sunglasses off on slides as you will see in some of the videos.
