One problem is no one explained how to do so. I have pictures and video on how to get to Lover's Beach from the Grand Solmar Resort. Cliff Note Slideshow version Before embarking on the shortcut over the rocks, I asked a few hotel staff how to get over there. One explained there were guides that would take you over the rocks. I didn't see guides on any of the half dozen times I climbed the rocks to get to Divorce Beach. Divorce Beach and Lover's Beach are right next to each other, with Divorce Beach on the Pacific Ocean side and Lover's Beach facing the tranquil Sea of Cortez. My guess is the guides are off the clock hotel staff trying to make extra money because only registered guests have access to the resort and private beach which rules out locals from walking onto the facility. I don't see that a local would pay the fee at the marina plus the cost of the glass bottom boat ride hoping to make enough money to cover those expenses unless they had a kayak or boat and paddled to Lover's Beach and left it there. Pictured above overhead view of Grand Solmar & Divorce Beach. The rock formation labeled with a red 1 is what you have to go over to get to Divorce Beach. A quick frame of reference: I met two collegiate volleyball players that explained they paid $15.00 US to a guide to send them over the rocks. Both young ladies were physically fit, but explained that the guide offered a trusty hand over some challenging spots and showed them where to go. Pictured above girl in early 20s climbing rocks at Playa Grande to Divorce Beach With that said, I did come across a woman in her early 20s that made it up the first portion of the climb and came back down. She shared with me that she wanted to see how difficult it might be to get up the rocks so she could come back with her friends. She wasn't going to go on her own to Lover's Beach. First things first, your journey starts at the Adults' Pool which is at the closest building to Divorce Beach. Go to the far left of the Pool so that it is on your right as pictured below. and and you will see as pictured below the steps in front of you that lead down to the beach which is pictured below. You can actually start from any of the other buildings, but I marked off the number of paces from here and this will make it easy for you. When your feet touch the sand, start counting paces. It is 215 steps until you reach the stone where your journey goes up the rock. Initially you will head towards the Pacific (Continued on page 2) Miss Universe on Water Slides at Atlantis Miss Universe Bikini Pics at Atlantis More Miss Universe pics Shark Commits Suicide at Atlantis

A few tips to enjoy the water experience at the Atlantis: I strongly recommend wearing aqua socks, sandals, or some type of water sandals. I tore up my feet on some sand in the pool and water rides. This oversight and subsequent sore feet made it difficult for me to get around during my stay. I would get sunglass lanyards to hold the glasses. The velocity of some of these rides could cause you to lose your sunglasses. This happened to me and the person right behind me on a ride and fortunately one of the employees found mine about 20 minutes later. They made me take my sunglasses off on slides as you will see in some of the videos.
